At choir yesterday evening, I realized how good it is to sing. And even more so, how good it is to sing with other people.
You fostered my love for, not only singing, but proper, challenging, and expressive singing. I'm so grateful for how you taught me to love the gift of music.
Thank you for letting me be a part of one of the greatest music programs in the state of Ohio.
Thank you for never letting us settle for second best.
Thank you for challenging my views of the world and of right and wrong.
Thank you for teaching me so much more about the world than any of my other subjects. I was prepared for success because of you.
Thank you for being such a boss. Observing empowered women like yourself has been a major part of defining myself.
Mrs. Gillis, you forever have my utmost respect.
